
The music of Broadway will fill the sanctuary of St. Andrew’s United Church in Chatham later this month.
Saturday, September 27 marks the launch of the 2025-26 season of Performing Arts at St. Andrew’s, featuring Chatham’s Three Tenors.
The show, Broadway’s Best, will include fan favourites from shows such as Pirates of Penzance, Sound of Music, Hamilton, Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera, and more.
Chatham’s Three Tenors is comprised of Andrew Derynck, Xander Bechard, and Colin Bell, all graduates of Chatham Kent Secondary School and previous winners of Chatham Kiwanis Music Festival awards, and have gone on to careers in opera and musical theatre.
Derynck attended Wilfred Laurier University where he received his Bachelor of Music degree and Opera diploma. He has sung with several companies across Canada, most recently as Roberto in Opera Niagara’s production of Le Villi.
Bechard is a graduate of the Bachelor of Music Performance Program at Wilfred Laurier University, has participated in various theatre and music productions, and works as a private vocal instructor at Whole Tone Music in Kitchener-Waterloo.
Bell holds a Master’s Degree in Opera from the University of British Columbia. He has performed in various productions at University of Western Ontario and UBC and in concert in Germany and Czech Republic.
Tickets for Broadway’s Best are $30 each and can be purchased at the church office or online at www.standrewschatham.org/events. All proceeds support the music program at St. Andrew’s.
