The Brio Academy in Chatham is one of the nominees for a 2018 FedEx Small Business Grant, and Artistic Director Rachel Schwarz says they have big plans for the $25,000 prize, including a bursary for students and increased accessibility at the Richmond Street facility.
“There’s a vetting portion they do on their side but helping us get noticed through voting I think is maybe key to us moving through the process. I’d like everybody to know how grateful we are for all the support and encouragement we’re getting with this is amazing, and humbling and we really do appreciate it.”
Online voting can be done here and runs through May 13th, before the finalists will be vetted by a panel of judges.
The winners will be announced June 19th.
