An estimated 400 people were on hand for a TJ Brodie autograph signing at Canadian tire in Chatham on Saturday. Those in attendance made donations to Cystic Fibrosis Canada – a charity close to Brodie’s heart.
Brodie speaks about why he supports CFC and organ donation.
“My cousin has lived with CF and we’re pretty close and eventually it got to the point where he needed a double lung transplant,” says Brodie. “It’s always been a goal to make it to a level where I could contribute and make a difference, whether it was for him or for others with CF.”
Nearly $700 was raised and was then matched by store owner Peter Marshall, sending almost $1,400 to CFC.
