The Ontario Liberal Party has officially selected its representative for Lambton-Kent-Middlesex.
Cathy Burghardt-Jesson has officially been named as the Liberal candidate for the local riding, and will face current PC MPP Steve Pinsonneault in the next election.
Burghardt-Jesson, the current mayor of Lucan Biddulph, ran for the Liberal party in last spring’s provincial by-election to replace former MPP Monte McNaughton. She placed second in the May 2 vote behind Pinsonneault, garnering 12.97 per cent of the vote.
Ontario’s 44th general election is scheduled to be held on June 4, 2026.
