An arrest has been made after a Chatham resident found an unknown man inside their home.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were called to a Baldoon Road address at around 4 a.m. on Tuesday for a break-and-enter.
Authorities said a homeowner went inside after being on the front porch to find the burglar in their kitchen. The man left the home without incident but was located by officers a short distance away.
As a result, a 19-year-old Chatham has been arrested and charged with one count of break-and-enter. He has since been released from custody with conditions and an August court date.
