Jenny from the block is home!
Jenn Rumble, a local nurse from Chatham, returned home to a hero’s welcome on Friday after suffering a brain aneurysm in November.
The day was more than powerful and moving for Jenn’s close circle of friends and family. The outpouring of love on social media was felt across Chatham-Kent.
A caravan of love including approximately 70 vehicles welcomed Rumble home on Friday afternoon. The parade included local emergency response members and the paramedics who responded to the Rumble household in November.
Following brain surgery, Rumble faced an uphill battle. Her odds of survival were low and the future unknown. But Jenn persevered. After a a stint of rehabilitation at Parkwood Institute in London, Rumble is now back home in Chatham, continuing her recovery process.
An online fundraiser raised more than $40,000 to help the Rumble family with their expenses during Jenn’s recovery.
