The Canada-U.S. border will remain closed for another 30 days.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced the continued border measures on Saturday morning.
“This is an important measure and one that will protect citizens on both sides of the border,” says the Prime Minister.
Trudeau says the exact same terms are in place, including not allowing asylum seekers across the border for the time being.
Only essential travel will continue be allowed over the border, while ensuring the continued supply of essential goods and supplies including medical supplies.
