Provincial authorities are ramping up the search for Mason Jenkins.
The Chatham man, serving a life sentence for first degree murder in the killing of his sister Jennifer in 1998 and one charge of possession for the purpose of trafficking, escaped custody from the Collins Bay Institution in Kingston on September 24.
The OPP Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement Squad has issued a Canada Wide Warrant for the 49-year-old man, saying he is known to frequent Chatham, Kitchener, and Kingston.
