Candidates Finalized For Chatham-Kent-Leamington

The nomination period is now closed for candidates in Chatham-Kent-Leamington ahead of this month’s federal election.

Five candidates have been confirmed in the riding including incumbent Dave Epp with the Conservative Party, Liberal Party candidate Keith Pickard, Seamus Fleming with the NDP, Green Party candidate James Plunkett, and Trevor Lee with the People’s Party of Canada.

Officials with Elections Canada say the full list of confirmed candidates will be listed online on Wednesday, April 9.

Registered voters will receive their voter information card in the mail by April 11 with information about when and where to vote.

Those who wish to vote by mail must apply online or at any Elections Canada office before April 22.

Advance polling will take place from April 18-21 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at assigned polling stations.

Voters can also cast their ballot at their assigned voting location on election day on April 28 from 9:30 a.m. until 9:30 p.m.
