Car Stolen in Chatham Crashes in Toronto

The long arm of the law caught up with a Toronto woman accused of stealing a car in Chatham.

According to Chatham-Kent Police, the vehicle was taken from a business on King Street West early Saturday afternoon, but was involved in a single vehicle crash in Toronto later that day.

The 40-year-old was arrested and held in custody by Toronto Police.

She has now been charged by Chatham-Kent Police with theft of a motor vehicle, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, driving while under suspension, dangerous driving, mischief under $5,000, and fail to comply with release order.
