Careless Driving Charge Laid In Tilbury Crash

Officers investigating a pair of collisions in Tilbury were kept busy this week following a third two-vehicle crash nearby.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service said two vehicles were travelling west on Queens Line on Tuesday at around 1:45 p.m., when the one in front slowed to turn left onto Davidson Road, causing traffic behind it to stop.

The second vehicle attempted to pass the stopped vehicles on the left and collided with the first vehicle as it was turning, which caused it to drive in and out of a ditch.

No one was injured in the crash, but both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.

Officers were investigating a pair of other collisions nearby on Canal Street and Tilbury Street when the crash occurred.

The driver of the passing vehicle has since been charged with careless driving.
