Carleton And Canada Clinch Olympic Berth

Chatham’s Bridget Carleton will be spending some quality time in Tokyo this summer after the Canadian women’s basketball team clinched a third straight trip to the Olympic games.

They finished 7th in 2016.

Canada thumped Sweden 80-50 in Belgium to punch their ticket.

Carleton had 8 points and 4 rebounds playing 24 minutes in the victory.

Canada got off to a sluggish start but poured it on in the final 20 minutes out scoring the Sweden 43-19.

The 6’1 guard represented Canada at the 2018 FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup.
