This year’s Police Week is all about collaboration. 
Jay Denorer, Media Relations officer with the Chatham-Kent OPP, says the theme for this year is “Working Together for Safer Communities.”
“What we incorporate into that is working with our community partners,” Denorer says. “One of community partners we work hand-in-hand with is the United Way’s youth engagement partnership, and that’s seeing how we can work with the youth to provide the services they need.”
They’re also working with the municipal police force, EMS, and other services this week at an event at the Downtown Chatham Centre on Wednesday.
The event, which will include interactive displays and handouts, runs from 10am until 2pm.
Denorer says similar events will be held in Essex and Windsor this week.
