Charge Laid For Stunt Driving On Hwy. 401

A lead-footed driver will have to answer the judge in court after being stopped by police on Highway 401.

The Ontario Provincial Police stopped a vehicle in the westbound lanes of the highway in Chatham-Kent shortly before 7:30 a.m. on Monday, after it was clocked going more than 160 km/h in a 100 km/h zone.

As a result, a 24-year-old Windsor resident is now charged with stunt driving.

Police are reminding motorists to report impaired and dangerous driving behaviour by calling 911 or contacting the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
