A Chatham-Kent man is facing charges following a shoplifting incident at a Blenheim store.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were called to the Shopper’s Drug Mart in Blenheim for a theft investigation on November 19. Authorities said a man had entered the store, removed items from the shelves, and exited without paying.
Officers were able to identify a suspect through video surveillance footage and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
On Thursday at around 1:20 a.m., police located and arrested the man on Grand Avenue East in Chatham.
The 54-year-old accused is now charged with theft and possession of stolen property. He has since been released with conditions and a January court date.
