A 19-year-old is facing impaired driving charges after a vehicle crashed into a house in Lambton Shores.
The Ontario Provincial Police said the collision occurred on Union Street shortly before 9 p.m. on December 9. The driver fled the scene in the vehicle before officers arrived, but a suspect was arrested a short distance away.
Authorities allege the suspect showed signs of impairment and he was taken to police headquarters for breath tests.
A 19-year-old man from Lambton Shores is now charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content over 80 mg, failing to remain at the scene of a collision, and failing to report a collision.
The accused has been released with a future date.
