Charges Laid Following Domestic Calls

A busy weekend for police with three separate domestic incidents on Saturday. 

In the morning they were called to the Ridgetown Inn where a couple were arguing. Police say the man headbutted the woman, breaking her nose. He was charged with assault causing bodily harm.

Officers were called to a home on Bedford Street in Chatham where an argument resulted in a woman hitting the man over the head with a picture frame. She was charged with assault with a weapon. 

Saturday evening a woman locked a man out of her Park Street residence in Chatham and he didn’t appreciate that. Police say he broke the glass in the door to gain entry. That resulted in a charge of mischief under $5,000.
