Charges Laid Following Sarnia Lockdown Protest

Sarnia police have charged one person in connection with that lockdown protest over the weekend.

Authorities say close to 60 people gathered at city hall on Saturday.

Officers arrived and found most of the crowd not wearing masks and were told to disperse immediately but only half the crowd left.

One man, in his 30s was particularly defiant and refused to give his name. He was arrested under the Reopening Act of Ontario and the Trespass to Property Act, and was fined over $900 dollars.
