Charges Laid Following Stabbing in Chatham

 

A Chatham man is facing charges after a stabbing over the weekend.

Early Saturday morning, around 2:30, police were called to a disturbance involving three men on Gray Street.

Police say one man suffered a stab wound, but all three fled before officers arrived at the scene.

After getting a license plate, police were able to locate a suspect vehicle and a 19-year-old man with a small wound.

A 58-year-old has been charged with aggravated assault and weapons dangerous.

Police say this was an isolated incident and there is no risk to public safety.
