New details are coming to light regarding a dog on dog attack in Wallaceburg last month.
According to Manager of Animal Control Services Jason Hamm, the Bull Terrier that attacked the Cockapoo was deemed potentially dangerous back in 2015.
With that designation, the dog is required to wear a muzzle when off its owner’s property.
At the time of the attack, the dog was not wearing a muzzle.
A 36 year old Wallaceburg man has been charged with multiple charges under the Dog Owners’ Liability Act as well as Chatham-Kent’s Responsible Animal Ownership By-law. He has a court date of May 16, 2018.
The other dog is recovering from its injuries.
