A 31-year-old is being charged with theft after breaking into an Edgar Street home in Chatham on Friday.
Just before the Pet and Wildlife Rescue Group was set to move into the animal shelter, a number of supplies were stolen from the home.
Officers were called to a home down the street for an unrelated reason, where they found the stolen property.
A Chatham man has been charged with theft under $5000, and was released with a December 2nd court date.
