A Dover Township man has been arrested into connection to a months-long fraud investigation.
Chatham-Kent Police say the probe was launched in Wallaceburg back in February. Investigators believed a man had accepted money to rent a Sarnia property, but then allegedly failed to follow through with the rental agreement or return the money.
Authorities were unable to locate the suspect at the time and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
This past Monday, officers were called to Dover Centre Line on an unrelated matter and found the accused.
The 32-year-old is now facing one count of fraud under $5000. He was released with a date in court next week.
