Charges Stayed in Case Against Former Cop

An anticlimactic day in court Tuesday for former Chatham-Kent police officer Kenneth Miller.

Miller had his charges of one count of sexual assault and breach of trust stayed, when the victim couldn’t testify due to her fragile emotional state.

That means the charges will remain in place for a year, and should the complainant decide to continue, the case will go on.

Otherwise, that’s the end of the proceedings.

Miller resigned from the Chatham-Kent Police Service in March 2018.
