Chatham-Kent Farm Show Returns

2017 edition of the Chatham-Kent Farm Show.

Over 100 exhibitors are on hand at the John D Bradley Convention Centre in Chatham for this week’s Chatham-Kent Farm Show.

The annual event brings together exhibitors and visitors from across southwestern Ontario, showcasing the latest technology and information in the farming and agriculture industry.

A number of guest speakers are on the docket, including Jordan Wallace, a leading expert in precision agriculture from GPS Ontario; Moe Agostino, focusing on proposed US tariffs, and making a successful marketing plan; Justin Shepherd, senior economist at Farm Credit Canada; and Shawn Brenneman, Provincial Soil & Crop Director with the Ontario Soil and Crop Improvement Association discussing 2025 research trials, upcoming grants cost-share programs, workshops and activities.

Tickets are $10 per person, those 16 and under get in for free. $2 from the price of each admission will be donated to AgScape in memory of Ethan “Bubba” Thomas, who passed away in 2021 at the age of two. AgScape is a charitable organization focused on providing curriculum-linked agriculture and food education programs, resources, and events to schools across Ontario.

The Chatham-Kent Farm continues on Thursday.
