The numbers are in from McHappy Day in Chatham-Kent.
Through purchases and donations at the four restaurants in Wallaceburg and Chatham, the fast food chain raised $26,868 to support Ronald McDonald House charities in southwestern Ontario.
That’s up from $22,000 raised locally last year.
McDonald’s donated a dollar from the sale of every Big Mac, Happy Meal, and McCafe hot beverage purchase.
Proceeds help to support Ronald McDonald houses and family rooms in Windsor and London and other local children’s charities.
