Chatham-Kent Welcomes All

Chatham Kent is putting out the welcome mat for Syrian refugees.  Military Bases in Trenton and Borden are already making preparations to welcome refugees.  Windsor and Chatham-Kent will also be looking to house refugees.

Mayor Randy Hope says we just don’t know how many will be coming

“Most of those details are supposed to be released today, as to the government’s plans on how the 10,000 refugees are supposed to be coming into Ontario,” says Hope. “That’s when we’ll learn about the expectations and the process that will be used.”

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has said that at least 25,000 refugees will be coming to Canada by the years end.
