One week before classes are set to resume, a Chatham educational facility has been vandalized.
According to Chatham-Kent Police, three windows at the John N Given Learning Centre on Churchill Street were broken overnight with thieves getting away with a 32” television.
The former elementary school has been converted into a learning centre for the Lambton Kent District School Board, offering alternative special education programs and the board’s Positive Alternative to Suspension from School (PASS) program.
Police are still looking for a suspect.
Anyone who might be able to help with the investigation is asked to call Cadet Dylan Moniz at dylanmo@chatham-kent.ca. Anonymous callers may call Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (222-TIPS.)
