Chatham Man Charged With Stunt Driving

It will be a while before a 22-year-old man gets back behind the wheel, after he was allegedly clocked going more than 60 km/h over the speed limit in Chatham.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service said an officer stopped a vehicle on St. Clair Road Wednesday night, after it was spotted driving 141 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone.

The driver, a 22-year-old Chatham man, has been charged with stunt driving. As well, his driver’s license has been suspended for 30 days and his vehicle will be impounded for 14 days.

He will answer the charge in court on March 2.
