Chatham Man Charged With Trespassing, Obstruction

A suspicious person complaint has led to charges for a Chatham man.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were called about a suspicious person on Standaert Drive in Chatham on Wednesday shortly after 11 p.m.

Authorities located the individual who allegedly provided officers with a false name. It was also learned that the man had allegedly breached his court-ordered conditions.

As a result, a 22-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with trespassing at night, obstructing a peace officer, failing to comply with probation, and failing to comply with a release order. He was taken to police headquarters and held for a bail hearing.
