A Chatham man is celebrating a $100,000 windfall.
Marcel Parker matched the last six of seven Encore numbers in exact order in the July 14 Lotto Max draw to take home the lottery prize.
The 59-year-old father says he has been playing the lottery for a while now but was shocked to discover he had won. He ran and woke up his wife to reveal the big news after checking the ticket on the OLG App.
“I was shaking from excitement,” he said in a new release. “Neither of us could believe it when OLG emailed me to confirm the win.”
Parker said he plans to use the winnings to pay for some renovations on his home but also share them with his family.
The winning ticket was purchased at Ken’s Variety on Vanier Drive in Chatham.
