Chatham Pair Facing Numerous Weapons Charges

Two people remain in custody following a recent police search of a Chatham home.

Members of the Chatham-Kent Police Intelligence Section, Critical Incident Response Team, Digital Forensics Unit, and Canadian Boarder Services Agency responded to a McFadden Avenue home last week.

Officers seized a 22-calibre handgun, 3D printer, numerous rounds of ammunition, large quantities of authentic and self-manufactured firearms parts, several electronic devices, and two cell phones.

A 46-year-old Chatham man and 42-year-old Chatham woman are facing almost a dozen weapons-related offences.

Both of the accused appeared in court this past Wednesday and have been remanded back into custody. The two will be back in court next week.
