Coordinator Krissy Rioux says the new six-hour format seems to work well for everyone.

“The feedback we heard was that six hours is better for the survivors because they can have an opportunity to maybe stay for the full event whereas 12 hours may be too much for them,” says Rioux. “The other part of that is that people with young kids and families can attend the whole event knowing that their child isn’t going to be miserable tomorrow because the event is ending at midnight versus seven in the morning.”

About 30 teams took part in this year’s event.

Donations are being accepted towards the event until the end of July.
