Charges have been laid against a Chatham woman in connection to an ongoing neighbour dispute.
The case dates back to a dispute at a Chatham home on June 14, 2023. Authorities say a 38-year-old woman approached the victim’s vehicle and struck the windshield with an object, causing damage.
The accused was arrested and charged with one count of mischief. She was released from custody with conditions and a future court date. However, she failed to appear in court on two separate occasions, and a warrant was issued for her arrest.
On Thursday, September 11, the woman turned herself in at the courthouse and was given an additional charge of failing to attend court.
She was once again released from custody and is scheduled to be back in court next month.
