Charges have been laid after a Chatham woman threatened to burn down a local business.
Police were called to Lacroix Street Friday evening – authorities say the accused appeared to be under the influence of drugs.
As she was leaving the business, the woman allegedly kicked a vehicle in a neighbouring parking lot, causing over $5000 in damage.
Police also say the woman tried to spit on the arresting officer.
Charges include mischief, uttering threats, and assaulting police.
