A Chatham boy is recovering in hospital after being struck by a car. 
Chatham-Kent Police say the eight-year-old was playing near an apartment on Thames Street Tuesday evening when he darted across the road and was hit.
The boy was air-lifted to hospital in London with non-life threatening injuries.
Authorities say the driver, who was traveling under the speed limit, is not expected to be charged.
