The Children’s Treatment Centre of Chatham-Kent (CTC-CK) has been recognized for exceeding the set standards for quality and safety in healthcare.

The treatment centre has been received a commendation for surpassing the fundamental requirements of the accreditation program from Accreditation Canada.

“The past two years have been exceptionally challenging for our staff and clients to include both virtual and in-person services, while always maintaining safety and quality care. I am proud of the high level of service our staff continues to be able to provide to our community,” said Donna Litwin-Makey, CTC-CK Executive Director, in a news release. “Receiving Accreditation with Commendation validates the exceptional level of service we strive to provide each and every day.”

The CTC-CK participated in the program over a three-day period at the end of November 2021 and was assessed under standards examining governance, leadership, infection prevention and control, and care provision practices.

The centre takes part in the program every four years.
