Christmas Holiday Closures In Chatham-Kent

With the holidays upon us, several services within Chatham-Kent will be closed this weekend as those in the municipality celebrate Christmas with friends and family.

All municipal offices will be closed on December 25-28 but will be open for regularly scheduled hours on December 29-30.

Ride CK services will not be running on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

As well, all 11 branches of the Chatham-Kent Public Library will be closed from December 24-27.

Curbside garbage and recycling collection will be delayed by one day for the week of December 26.

The Chatham-Kent Museum will be closed on December 24 and 25, and the Milner Heritage House and Ridge House Museum will also be closed from December 24 through January 1. As well, the Thames Art Gallery and ARTSpace will be closed on December 24, 25 and 28.

Entegrus will be closed on December 26 to January 1. For emergencies, residents can call 519-352-6300.

CK Public Health offices will be closed from December 26-28. Essential Public Health services can be accessed after hours by calling 1-866-446-8207.

All arenas will be closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day. However, free skates will be offered at the Blenheim, Ridgetown and Dresden arenas on December 31 and then at the Tilbury arena on January 1.

Some healthcare services at the Chatham and Wallaceburg sites of the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance will also be altered for the Christmas holidays.

Outpatient Rehabilitation, the Pulmonary Function Lab and the Musculoskeletal Rapid Assessment Clinic will not be available between December 25 and January 2.

Ambulatory Care, Outpatient Lab Services, the Oncology department, the TIA and CAD clinics, the Diabetes Education Centre, the Outpatient Mental Health and Addictions Program, and the RAAM Clinic will also be unavailable on December 26-27.

The Presurgical Screening Department will be closed from December 24-27.

The COVID, Cold and Flu Care Clinic located at 10 Grand Avenue in Chatham will also be closed on Christmas Day.

The Emergency Departments at CKHA’s Chatham and Wallaceburg sites will remain open 24 hours daily.
