The annual St Clair Catholic District School Board fundraiser kicks off today.
Spokesman Shawn Moynihan says a preview party is being held at the Armoury tomorrow night, and the event opens to the public on Thursday.
“You buy a sheet of 12 tickets for $10 and you walk around and in front of each tree we have a ballot box and you can put your ballots in the tree boxes you like,” reveals Moynihan. “On Sunday you draw, we call everybody between 9-11am and say ‘Congratulations! you’ve won!'”
To date, over $450,000 has been raised through the event, supporting more than 1,700 students heading to the Muskoka Woods Leadership Camp in the spring.
