Civil Suit Launched in 2004 Plane Crash

A civil suit is moving forward in connection to a deadly plane crash off Pelee Island 15 years ago.

Reports say the suit has been filed against Georgian Express by the family of Bob Brisco, one of 10 victims of the January 17th, 2004 crash.

A six-person jury with two alternates was selected yesterday and evidence is expected to start being presented on Monday.

Brisco and a group of other men, including Chatham-Kent Police Sgt Tom Reeve, his brother Ted, and Dr. Jim Allen, flying home from a hunting trip when the overloaded and ice-covered plane crashed onto Lake Erie.

The trail expected to last just over two weeks.
