The Victoria Day weekend typically marks the start of Chatham-Kent’s seasonal beach bus, but current COVID restrictions are putting the kibosh on those plans.
Because of the province-wide stay at home order, which restricts people to essential travel only, the municipality says the beach bus will stay parked for the time being.
Once the order, which is set to expire on June 2nd, is lifted, the bus will get back on the road ferrying beach-goers between Mitchell’s Bay and Erieau.
