With this week’s hot, humid weather and the arrival of summer right around the corner, more area residents are starting to hit the beach. 
Testing of water quality at public beaches in Chatham-Kent has begun for the season, but no issues have been reported at this point.
Not the case in Windsor-Essex, where the health unit has reported three beaches along Lake Erie have been found to have higher than acceptable E.coli bacteria counts.
The Chatham-Kent municipal website is updated with water inspection information at nine area beaches each week throughout the summer months.
