Chatham-Kent is getting a helping hand to support the local job market.

Over $4.3 million is being invited in as many as 80 projects and communities across Ontario through the Rural Economic Development (RED) Program.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Food, and Rural Affairs has allocated $150,000 for Chatham-Kent to host in-person and virtual workshops, and develop digital marketing materials to support labour attraction across multiple sectors through the municipality’s job board.

Since 2019, the RED program has invested more than $21.6 million to fund more than 380 projects that are helping to attract investment, create jobs, and boost economic development in rural communities across the province.
