The Chatham-Kent Chamber of Commerce is taking part in a province-wide study on safety challenges faced by Ontario communities.
Led by the Centre for Healthy Communities at Loyalist College and in collaboration with chambers of commerce across Ontario, the recently launched study aims to help identify both funded and unfunded initiatives that address growing community safety challenges faced by businesses, organizations, and residents.
The study cites the province’s growing mental health and addiction crisis as the core reasons for these safety challenges.
“This study represents an important step toward understanding the work, actions and initiatives our members, community partners and individuals are shouldering as they adapt to evolving safety challenges,” said Rory Ring, president and CEO of the CK Chamber of Commerce. “We know these issues are not unique to Chatham-Kent, and we are proud to collaborate with Loyalist College and chambers across Ontario to ensure our collective voice is heard.”
The data from the study will be used to support advocacy and policy recommendations through the Ontario Chamber of Commerce at Queen’s Park.
The CK Chamber is encouraging local businesses, organizations, associations, and individuals to complete the short online survey by clicking here. The survey closes November 30.
