CK Looking For Insight Through Community Survey

In an effort to gain a better understanding of how local residents feel about their community, Chatham-Kent is conducting a community satisfaction survey.

The municipality has hired Ipsos, a market and consulting firm, to survey 500 residents over the age of 18 by phone to gain insight into how they feel about services and issues that are important to them.

“Similar questions have been asked by other municipalities. Results from the survey can be compared with other communities, provide a baseline of how the residents view the municipality and provide council and staff with the information needed to develop action plans to improve and identify targets for that improvement,” says Chief Administrative Officer Don Shropshire in a news release.

Survey participants will be selected to reflect the community in terms of age, gender, rural/urban population.

Residents will begin receiving calls on Monday and the survey will continue until December 14.

This is the first community satisfaction survey to be conducted in the municipality in over a decade. The results will be presented to CK Council and the public in February 2022.
