A reminder from local police to keep your guard up when it comes to scams.
Authorities say they have received several reports of suspicious phone calls from people claiming to be from the Canada Revenue Agency, asking for financial information.
Chatham-Kent Police say scammers often use threatening language or an aggressive tone to scare their victims into making payments.
Never give out personal or financial information over the phone, especially if you have not initiated the call, and anyone who receives questionable emails, do not click on any links.
