CK Public Health Asks Residents To Remain Vigilant

CK Public Health has made an online statement following the confirmation of 40 new cases of the coronavirus in Chatham-Kent over a four day-period this past long weekend.
“Over the Civic Holiday weekend, Chatham-Kent has continued to see large numbers of daily reported COVID-19 cases. While these cases are largely related to previously confirmed cases, the potential for spread of COVID-19 is very real, and we need to remain vigilant in stopping the spread,” reads the statement.

Public Health asks the public to continue to follow public health measures including physical distancing of 2 metres and face coverings worn indoors if physical distancing is not possible. Continued attention to hand hygiene is a priority. Wash your hands with soap and water or use hand sanitizer with 70% alcohol frequently. Public Health continues to recommend residents to stay home (do not travel within or outside of the community) if you’re not feeling well, and get tested for COVID-19.
