CK Public Health Investigating Third Workplace Outbreak

Public Health is investigating another workplace outbreak of COVID-19, the third this week. Officials say there are four positive cases linked to the business, which is not open to the public.

A third positive case has been linked to the outbreak at Hudson Manor in Tilbury that was first declared on March 23rd.

The outbreak at A.A. Wright Public School is still holding steady at five confirmed cases.

Overall, Chatham-Kent currently has 83 active COVID cases with 12 new infections reported today along with 8 cases resolved.

One more CK resident has been admitted to hospital, bringing the number of local COVID-positive patients at the Health Alliance to five.

Public Health says testing has now identified 57 variant cases in Chatham-Kent, four involving the UK variant (VOC lineage 8.1.1.7), and 53 VOC-related mutations.
