CK Sticking With Its Own Vaccination Call Centre For Now

Chatham-Kent Public Health has decided to stay the course for now when it comes to booking vaccination appointments.

A new provincial system goes live today, offering a centralized online booking portal and call centre.

However, Chatham-Kent Public Health officials say for the time being, they’ll continuing using their own call centre. The health unit says that will allow time to better study the new system and figure out when to integrate it into the local operations to ensure CK’s vaccination program continues to run as efficiently as possible.

To book an appointment, residents are asked to continue calling 519-351-1010.

Meantime, it was another quiet weekend at the Chatham-Kent mass vaccination clinic after supplies ran dry at the end of last week.

The clinic at the Bradley Centre will remain closed today, and organizers are planning to reopen tomorrow. Officials say the clinic’s hours of operation will continue to fluctuate as supplies continue to be limited.
