Some local faces are joining the team at the recently amalgamated United Way Windsor-Essex Chatham-Kent.
Tracie Booth, Jeff McFadden, and Kyla Tewkesbury, all from Chatham-Kent, have joined the organization’s Board of Directors.
CEO Lorraine Goddard says each brings a wealth of experience, passion, and a commitment to community service to the United Way.
“We are thrilled to welcome Tracie, Jeff, and Kyla to our board,” said Lorraine Goddard, CEO of United Way Centraide Windsor-Essex Chatham-Kent. “Their passion for community development, deep ties to Chatham-Kent, and diverse skill sets will be invaluable as we continue to address the pressing challenges facing our region. Together, they will help us ensure that United Way remains a strong force for positive change for individuals and families across Chatham-Kent.”
Booth is the current Tracie Booth: President of the Lambton Kent Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario (ETFO), and has over 15 years of leadership experience advocating for quality education and the well-being of students in Chatham-Kent.
McFadden serves as President of Unifor Local 127, and is a passionate advocate for workers’ rights, community change, and supporting vulnerable populations.
Tewkesbury works as a Branch Manager at BMO and brings over 19 years of banking experience , as well as having been an active participant in previous United Way workplace campaigns.
The new board members re also encouraging local residents to take part in a community survey, which aims to gather insights and feedback from Chatham-Kent residents to help identify priority needs and focus areas for United Way initiatives moving forward.
