CKHA Brings In New Family Medicine Residents

Three new family medicine residents are honing their skills at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance.

Drs. Alexandra Ferrara, Pooria Ghadiri, and Jared Tschirhart will begin their post-graduate training at CKHA this summer.

Officials say the residents will earn valuable experience working alongside local physicians and the hospital’s heath care team as they complete the clinical portion of their medical training.

“Chatham-Kent offers a vibrant rural community with a wide range of Family Medicine opportunities,” said Dr. Zeke Milkovic, Acting Chief of Staff at CKHA. “The residents will have the opportunity to work and train alongside highlight skilled physicians and will gain experience in many aspects of practicing medicine. I am confident that they will make significant contributions to the health and well-being of the community during their time at CKHA.”

Dr. Ferrara, born and raised in Chatham, earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) at Western University, followed by a Master of Public Health at Brock University, and studied Medicine at the University of Limerick in Ireland.

Dr. Ghadiri earned his Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Shiraz University and has since lived in various Canadian cities including Saskatoon, Vancouver, and Montreal.

Dr. Tschirhart completed his undergraduate and Master’s degrees at Queen’s University before earning his Medical Degree at Western University.
